The decorative side of the business is what we refer to as the creative side. We enjoy collaborating to produce unique finishes that accentuate living spaces. The Northwest climate allows us to focus about 60% of our business on interior work. Most of our projects are residential repaints, light commercial painting, remodels/additions, prep-to sell, and custom painting for newly acquired homes.

Exterior Finishes

Let's get some color out there. Exterior finishes in the Northwest are traditionally very subdued. Our travels throughout the world allow us to see various palettes and techniques in design. For example, Bolgna, Italy exhibits red earthtones, golds, yellows, browns and stark whites that take your breath away with their contrasting vibrance. We can advise wisely on finishes that the neighbors will appreciate while taking a leadership role in future trends. Aside from color consultation, Tenhulzen Painting prides itself on the extensive steps taken to produce outstanding pre-finish work or prep-work that outperforms that of our competitors. Our primary focus is residential interior/exterior finishes and it is not uncommon for us to work in the comercial sector. We provide:

• Extensive prep work including pressure washing, scraping, sanding, priming, caulking, masking, etc.
• Exterior painting of siding, trim, doors, windows, deck refinishing, staining and exterior furniture re-finishing.
• We are well versed in current paint technology, and can often diagnose paint failures that enable us to perform work correctly giving you the best possible finish.
• With so many different products on the marketplace these days it is important to obtain functional knowledge of the latest paint systems and technology. Involvement with industry associations have played key roles in our ability to develop key relationships with vendors, colleagues, and associates in the business.
