About Scott Tenhulzen

Scott Tenhulzen was raised in Redmond Washington to complete the family of five. Scott's two older brothers, Brian and Mike, provided him with constant challenges and battles creating charismatic relentlessness that has served him well in recent years.

Scott's parents Pat and Jack Tenhulzen started a residential remodeling firm when Scott was just 1 year old. Growing up in the building industry and gaining experience in the trades at a young age has proven to be very beneficial for his career development. The hands on experience was priceless, as was being constantly exposed to business conversations around the dinner table or at industry events. Pat and Jack were determined to include their children in their livelihood, giving them unique experiences that many children are not exposed to. Jack Tenhulzen instilled discipline, work ethic, and integrity into his three boys. As most children do, young Tenhulzen had resistence to the direction of his parents, that which Scott is now familiar with, trying to instill the same values and principles in his own son Samuel Tenhulzen.

Scott graduated with his bachelors degree in humanities with an emphasis in business and a minor in music from Washington State University in 2003. While in college Scott started Tenhulzen Painting in the spring of 2000 which quickly grew to 16 employees.

Everything that Scott does is done with precision and perfection. Scott continues to develop his employees around the values that are outlined in the company's mission statement. Tenhulzen Painting provides incentives for further education and employee development. Tenhulzen is focused on growth and development and continues to take on challenges like community projects, leadership in organizations, and the growth of Tenhulzen Painting.

What happens ... when you bring 11 painting companies together for a total of 40 painters with the common goal of painting the interior and exterior of a 3500 square foot home, while under construction, in 5 days?
